Andy Kelly
With over a decade of experience in visitor operations at some of the UK’s largest public venues, Andy has honed his skills in creating award-winning, unforgettable visitor experiences, championing sustainability, and driving charitable fundraising. He brings extensive strategic and operational expertise across venue & event management, volunteer coordination, security & facilities management, and individual giving.
His Story
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Andy's career took a temporary turn, allowing him to support some of the most vulnerable people across the North West. It was during this time that he first connected with members of the Irish Traveller community. His community engagement work opened his eyes to the challenges faced by many within the community, and he worked tirelessly to build trust and offer support wherever possible. Through this work, Andy met Charmaine, and was quickly inspired by her passion for the Romany community, leading him to become a trustee soon after.

More recently, Andy has returned to venue management, where he now welcomes the world to one of the newest and most prestigious theatres in the North West.

As Andy says, "I'm at my best when I'm supporting others to be their best," and it is this strength that he is most excited to bring to Pride of Romany. Andy has been instrumental in establishing the legal framework to drive us forward, and he eagerly looks forward to offering advice and guidance on operational management, HR, volunteering, fundraising and sustainability.
